  Step Eleven: Repeat this same maneuver with the free end once again. This second loop completes the lock and holds the cross arms in place. Now the cross will not unravel. Step Twelve: At this point the arms can still be adjusted slightly to even out the arms. Then cut the bottom of the cross to even the base, and perhaps angle it slightly.

Step Thirteen: Place Palm Crosses into cold water to keep them fresh. This can be done approximately 3-4 days before use on Palm Sunday. Pat them dry early Palm Sunday so that they are ever so slightly moist by the time of the Service.
