  Step Eight: Loop the end back toward the right to form the left arm of the cross.

Step Nine: Fold the long end upwards at a right angle to the cross arms. Crease it sharply pointing it in the direction of the upper cross arm.   
 

 

 
  Step Ten: Loop the end (the crease held by the thumb) curving it backward towards the upper arm of the cross. Insert the end downward into a loop located in front of the upper arm . . .

. . . then pull down sharply and firmly to lock the cross arms in place. Notice that it is still critical to continue holding the Palm firmly with the thumb and forefinger or else it will unravel! You are not finished yet!
